Chotooooza mfana…

One of the iSicathamiya groups vying for the attention of the audience and judges in Osizweni on Saturday. The Osizweni Art Centre in Newcastle vibrated to the mellow sounds of iSicathamiya groups showcasing their silky dance skills and mellow voices as they vied for top prizes in the acapella singing competition organised by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sports, Arts and Culture. The music genre made internationally famous by the Grammy Award Winning group Ladysmith Black Mambazo remains a favourite among communities in KwaZulu-Natal.
