Battle of the voices hits the right note at Motsepe Foundation festival

The Departments of Basic Education, Sport, Arts and Culture hosted the 2025 ABC
Motsepe South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod (ABC Motsepe SASCE) in partnership
with the Motsepe Foundation. The National Championships were held at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, Johannesburg, between 1 and 4 July 2025. The 2025 National Championships saw learners from all nine provinces competing under various categories, including Opera Solo Section and Small Ensemble. More than 8 000 learners participated in this year’s competition, entertaining crowds of between 6000 – 8000 who attended daily. Chester Makana was there to capture the action
